POINTS AND NEWS AFTER ROUND TWO
The 2016 FMP Challenge season kicked off with Gwendraeth Motor Clubâ€™s Rali Cwm Gwendraeth at Pembrey. Horrendous weather conditions the previous day had left a lot of standing water and the list of retirements saw only 31 of the 58 starters completing the 5 stages.

FMP CHALLENGE EVENT CHANGE
In order to comply with Rule Â D.11.1.3., it is with regret that the Brawdy Stages has been omitted from the 2016 FMP Rally Challenge. This is due to the date originally submitted by Pembrokeshire MC and advertised in the Challenge supplementary regulations becoming unavailable. The first reserve sealed surface round, The Midsummer Stages at Caerwent on June 12th will now be a qualifying round.
Vatanen registers for the FMP
Â A well known name in motor sport circles has registered this year in a bid to help raise the profile of Wales Air Ambulance after kind permission was granted by his sponsor DMACK Tyres.

FMP Motor Factors Backing for 2016 Allows Continued Support for Wales Air Ambulance
Despite fears of ending his season after rolling his car earlier in the year on a rally in Carlisle, 24 year old Morgan Handford has become Overall and Junior Challenge Champion. The Aircraft Engineer from Groesfaen near Llantrisant took and maintained the lead from mid season in his 1400 VW Polo. Â Read more here
